If you want to get good at Link, you have to have good movement. Link is a slow character relative to the rest of the cast, so making the most of it. Being able to quickly get on/off platforms, Wavedash out of shield, and get on/off ledge is important.
Being tense is not only bad for your health, but also for execution. Don’t go into a practice session with the G.I. Joe kung fu grip on your controller. That is just as bad as playing with cold hands and puts you at risk of injury. Give your hands a good deep stretch. I go as far as to do a stretch on my body as well. It alleviates tension and helps focus. It can also alleviate stress and anxiety before a match.

You can practice movement however you like, you can go into the training room before logging onto unranked on slippi, you can boot up uncle punch, or you can run 20XX. Preferred, is plugging in a second controller, and using 99 stock 99 minutes, so you can track Randal timing though. Remember to practice on different stages.
You do NOT have to practice everything in each category before moving on to the next, but you should learn everything here. Be sure to not tunnel vision when practicing things. Have dedicated time for practicing one technique, but then mix it into your pool of movement and practice everything at once. Give yourself exercises to do. Come up with a list of things you want to do, in what order, then do it. If you have trouble at any point, hone in on that until you can do it well. Cleaning up gaps and inconsistencies in your movement is what separates good and bad players.
If you want a premade practice regiment guaranteed to give good results, you can follow this one provided by Hunybear.
