Fox, aka Mr.Melee himself. This character that needs no introduction.
Breakdown
Fox is a fast boy. He has insane shield pressure, and can waveshine U-smash to kill at about 85% on most stages, and has competent tools for edgeguarding.
Rushdown Foxes
Against aerial → shine pressure, you can buffer up on the C-stick to jump and become aerial. If you get shined, you will be airborne and can't get U-smashed.
Campy Foxes
Throw projectiles at them. What are they going to do, laser?
Link's Goals
Link always wants to have a bomb in hand for this matchup. It is really useful for getting out of shield.

Edge Guarding
Edge guarding Fox is pretty simple. Throw a boomerang at his firefox or to stop his phantasm and then jump out with a nair or shoot an arrow at his other option. If you're sticking to the stage try doing an ftilt to hit his sweet spot, it works. The nair is probably your best option if you have enough time to get out there and use it. -Sklr
Helpful Tips
If you always DI U-throw behind into N-air below 30; and DJ above 50 there's only a 20% window (30-50) where U-throw → U-air actually combos.
